May Classes for 2012

May 1, 2012 Wedding heirloom Handkerchief Time: 6:00 Pm Cost $25 (includes the kit) Plus Supplies

Please Bring:

Sulvy Sulky Stabilizer (lightweight clear plastic)
Tear a way Stabilizer
Blue fabric Marker
4 yards of 1/4 inch Ribbon
Wing needle
A mini Iron or a small iron would be helpful.
Machine Embroidery Unit & Smallest Hoop for it 100 x 100 or the 120 x 120
The embroridery designs has 12 colors in it, I did mine in one color, If you Are going to do your embroidery design in one color buy your ribbon to match your thread.
Memory Stick for your Embroidery Machine Sewing Machine in Good working order

This will be the last Month To do blocks in June We will put it together! I will have 3 Alternative Blocks so bring all your blocks!

Lace Card for Your embroidery Machine (if you do not have one I would be happy to give you a free standing lace design)

Aqua Magic Stablizer

Straight Stitch needle plate

Sensor Q Foot

Size 14 or 16 Sharp needle or Microtec Sharp

Rayon thread in the color you want your lace

prewound bobbins

Mylar Paper if you want to embroider on Mylar

(it is at the Dollar Store it says tissue paper on the package and it is shinny)

Embroidery Machine & the largest hoop you have

Do not forget the power cord.

May 29, 2012: Serger Lap Quilt Time is 6:00 pm Cost is $15 Plus Supplies

Size is about 43 x 43 inches Square

Lace kit optional if you want a lace kit Paid to the Teacher the Night of Class $20.00

Please Bring:

Serger with a rolled hem set up or a Narrow Three Thread overlock

That color needs to be in white.

Or you can bring a regular Sewing Machine if you want to learn the techniques.

If you purchase the lace kit from me you will not need the following.

2 1/2 yards of Bridging

1 1/4 Yards of Embroidered insertion

2/3 yard of Insertion Lace

Everyone Please Bring (items above or Purchase the lace kit from me $20)

3/4 yard fabric for the Front of the Quilt

1 2/3 Fabric for the back of the Quilt

1 1/4 yards of 45" Wide batting

4 cones to match fabric or you can use the white thread.

or

Cotton Sewing thread for your sewing machine.

This class is a nice class that teaches you how to thread and run your Sewing Machine. You will also learn how to do different Techniques. Please bring your Sewing Machine and All Accessories for your Sewing Machine Including your owners manual, Thread, and Fabric Scraps and scissors.

Time: 5:30 to 8:00. PM Cost is $15.00

This class is a nice class that teaches you how to thread your serger . You will also learn how to do different Techniques on your serger. Please bring your serger and All Accessories for your serger Including your owners manual, Different colors of Serger Thread, and Fabric Scraps and scissors.

This cute pot holder is done a paper foundation So the lines are accurate. All you have to do is sew on the line to get wonderful Results

May 16 & 23, 2012, Time: 6 :00 pm  Paper Foundation Star/Flower Quilt. Cost is $25 plus Supplies. This is a Fun Class to put your Paper or Foundation piecing to Practice. We do a Paper Piecing flower and you get this fun and Easy Star Quilt. The approximate Size of this Quilt is 55 x 55 inches.
